Lost or stolen devices – Apple Pay

Last updated: 21/08/2017 10.52 AM

What happens if my iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch is lost or stolen?

If your device is lost or stolen, you can easily suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay from your device with Apple Pay using 'Find My iPhone'  by putting the device into ‘Lost Mode’ or erasing the device or using iCloud.com.

Cards will be suspended or removed from Apple Pay even if a device is offline and not connected to a cellular or Wi-Fi network. If you subsequently find your Apple device and take it out of 'Lost Mode' by entering your Apple ID, your Apple Pay ANZ card(s) will automatically resume in the Wallet app.

You must also call us right away on (0800 269 847 or Intl +64 4 471 0242). We're available 24/7. Based on your report, we stop all use of your ANZ card(s) in Apple Pay, and we may also suspend use of your plastic ANZ card(s). This helps protect you as much as possible from additional loss or liability. If you find your device you can add your card to Apple Pay again ready for use. You will need to contact us if you need us to remove the stop on your plastic card.

If you purchase a new Apple device then you will need to set your cards up in the Apple Wallet again. Remember that you must remove any ANZ cards from your Apple Device, before selling or giving your Apple Device to someone else.
