My goMoney Wallet phone has been lost or stolen

What happens if my phone is lost or stolen? Can it be used to make payments?

The situation is the same as if your plastic card is lost or stolen - you must notify ANZ immediately on 0800 269 296 or International +64 4 470 3142, so we can block your wallet cards. If your phone is stolen and you have goMoney Wallet enabled, there is a risk that someone can use your phone to make payments of up to $80 without entering a PIN. For additional security you can disable the Wallet function within ANZ goMoney. This means you need to login to ANZ goMoney and enable goMoney Wallet prior to using it to make a payment.

Our sophisticated fraud detection systems will help to identify potentially fraudulent activity if your phone is lost or stolen. However, in the event of your phone being used to make fraudulent transactions you may be protected provided you have not contributed to the loss or been fraudulent or negligent, and have complied with our ANZ Credit Cards Conditions of Use or the ANZ EFTPOS Card and ANZ Visa Debit Card Conditions of Use and our ANZ Electronic Banking Conditions of Use.
