Before you get started ensure you have the Google Pay app on your Android device and your device is running Android Lollipop 5.0 or higher. To make in-store payments your device will need NFC (Near Field Communication) capability.
- Log into the latest version of ANZ goMoney.
- Go to the main navigation menu.
- Tap the Google Pay icon.
- Select the card you wish to add to Google Pay
- Tap next, and read and agree to the ANZ Google Pay Terms and Conditions
- Repeat this process for each card you wish to add, the first card you add will become your default card
- If you have another payment app on your phone: in your phone’s Settings app, make Google Pay the default payment app.
Note: After you try adding a card, you might see a small temporary charge on your account from Google Pay. This charge is used to verify that your card and account are valid and it will be reimbursed soon after.
Do not add your card to someone else's device or allow someone else to have access to your phone using your passcode or any other method for unlocking your device, as they can then use your card in Google Pay to make payments. You will then be responsible for transactions that are authorised in this way and in breach of the ANZ Google Pay Terms and Conditions. See the ANZ Google Pay Terms and Conditions (PDF 69kB) for more information.
